was born and raised in Courtice, Ontario and attended the local elementary and high schools – Good Shepherd Elementary School and Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School. Paul’s entrepreneurial spirit and ambitions to create his own real estate business were formed at a young age while he watched his father, Michael Baird, become one of the top realtors in the area.
Paul always had a flare for business. At the age of 10 he started a paper route with the local newspaper – Oshawa This Week. When he was 16 he founded his own lawn care business “The Grass Guy”, which he operated within Durham Region and throughout his college years at Fanshawe College in London where he studied to obtain a Business Administration Marketing diploma. Paul was offered an opportunity by Fanshawe College to move to Ireland for university where he could obtain a Bachelor of Business degree. After completing his business degree, he landed himself in the role as Marketing Manager for a large national food producer in Ireland.
Paul’s dream of following in his fathers footsteps in real estate persisted. When he returned to Courtice with his partner Craig Byrne, they set their eyes on real estate. Firm believers in education and training, they wanted to truly learn the ropes. Paul and Craig were mentored by some of the best realtors in the business and attended weekly real estate seminars held by real estate moguls Brian Buffini, Richard Robbins, Craig Proctor and Tom Ferry, to name a few.
Paul Baird has been working as a realtor in Durham Region for years and is fast becoming one of the leading Realtors in the region.
